Students with Disabilities

Over the past 10 years, the percentage of students with disabilities (special education students) in Connecticut has increased from 12% to 14%. Special education includes students with learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, autism, speech and language disabilities, emotional disturbances, and other qualifying medical diagnoses.
