Hearst Connecticut: State education funding needs adjusting

Identifying the problem — Connecticut’s inadequate and unfair funding of public education — is much easier than finding a solution.
This is not a shocker. What is surprising is that since the Sheff v O’Neill lawsuit was filed in 1989, the disparity is even more entrenched despite efforts to provide equal educational opportunity for all students and to ease the racial disparity in schools.
